FirstPort Communication Update Feb22
After more than three weeks of waiting there has now been some communication from Harry at FirstPort with regard to the message that we sent to him. Those of you that have raised issues with the lack of provision of accounts for 2021 and questioning a credit from them may also have heard from him directly. Harry has apologised to all for delay in responding.
2021 Accounts and 2023 Estimate
He does not know why the accounts for 2021 have not been provided but has confirmed that they are currently with senior accountants for final approval. He has said…
“The senior accountant is looking into the 2021 YE accounts as I am writing this, and I will be escalating this to my Head of Operations to ensure these accounts are reviewed as soon as possible. I have also asked the accountant who will be doing the 2022 YE accounts and when I can expect to have the drafts with me. Moving forward accounts should be completed and sent back at the latest within 6 months but preferably within 3 months.
Whilst we are looking into the accounts, I will arrange for your account, and the accounts of those who have contacted FirstPort to be placed on hold until the accounts have been sent out to ensure no late payment fees are received by residents.”
So if you raised this as an issue with FirstPort via the My Home Portal or by email your account should be put on hold. We would suggest if you haven’t and would like to have your account put on hold until this is resolved do so via the portal or by email to harry.stanbury@firstport.co.uk and help@firstport.co.uk.
Once we hear back from Harry regarding this we will send a further update to you all.
Meetings
An onsite meeting has been arranged with Harry and committee representatives for the morning of the 14th March. We will walk the site and ensure that he is fully aware of all the outstanding issues we have on the communal areas yet to be adopted by FirstPort. He is hoping that he can also get the onsite maintenance team and Persimmon representation to attend as well.
Harry has also stated his willingness to attend our committee meetings either in person or virtually going forward. He will not attend the March meeting as we will not have had the on-site meeting at that point in time. He has been advised of the June date (Tues 6th June), this will provide him with three months to make some progress and if he hasn’t then answers can be provided as to why in person.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about any of the above.
