Public Footpath Mud-pit
If you have walked along the public footpath alongside Beckets Grove Phase 2 towards the rugby club. You will not have failed to notice the mud-pit that has been created at the back-corner entrance to Elm Farm from Beckets Grove.
This has been in a poor state since the beginning of October, restricting crossing at times for some residents and creating the risk of slipping and falling for others. It has often been problematic for anyone to cross it.
It has been highlighted to Persimmon and their Senior Contracts Manager on several occasions since October. Apparently, the groundworks team were supposed to be maintaining it daily but there has been little to no evidence of this. It has been scrapped a couple of times, but nothing done to help reduce the mud being dragged over the footpath again. Ultimately this could have been completely avoided if Persimmon had ensured an adequate surface for their entrance into the Elm Farm site when they first started using it.
